Srinagar: A civilian and a policeman was injured on Wednesday night when the terrorists threw a hand grenade near Aali Mosque in the Eidgah area at Old Srinagar, a third terror attack in four days in the city.
Police said the terrorists intend to target the CRPF post in the area but the grenade fell on the road.
What was injured was Ajaz Ahmad Ahmad Bhat from Locality and Police Hawal Srinagar Sajad Ahmad Bhat from Narwara Eidgah, police said.
The police were copyrighted and, therefore, maybe not a target, said the police.

While the Top police officer J & K refused to say that the murder of Salesman on Monday Mohammed Ibrahim Khan (45) was communal in nature, shop owner, Mawa Sandeep claimed that the attack was intended to send messages to Muslims to refrain from working business owned by Kashmiri Pandits.
Senior Police Officers J & K said the versions of baseless Mawa and hybrid terrorist sleeping cells had returned to selective murders since October 2021 after the top terrorist commander was killed in combat operations this year.
Sandeep Mawa, a doctor with training running his father’s business based in Srinagar, Roshan Lal Mawa, who lives in New Delhi, has a house in Karan Nagar, Srinagar.
Sandeep Mawa said she occasionally visited her grocery store at Bohri Lizard in Central Srinagar and had presented the car to Ibrahim Khan, the seller, for his selfless service to Mawa’s family for the past 13 years.
Senior police officers said Mawa had been given adequate security protection, with two PSOs always accompanied him, and he had been told after the targeted killings recently in the valley.
Mawa said this incident would not be afraid to leave Kashmir Valley.
“I will live in Kashmir with all circumstances.
I lost my uncle, M L Bindroo, a pharmaceutical owner, for terrorist bullets on October 5 this year, but these incidents would not scare me to migrate out of here,” Mawa said.
He added that he had left Kashmir in the early 1990s but had returned in 1998 and would not go again Mawa claimed the murder in his site was the wrong case of identity when the attackers thought he was in the car when Ibrahim actually.
“Interestingly, the attackers have turned off all street lights in the area before attacking the man in the car,” alleged Mawa.
A senior officer said the police were ready to review the cover of Mawa’s security and gave more men to keep him if he felt needed.
Mawa said she was “really worried” about the Ibrahim Khan family.
“We plan to help families, wives and two children, so they have a comfortable life in front,” Mama said.
