Srinagar: Two people including a civilian and a police officer were injured on Wednesday night in a grenade explosion in Aali Mosque in Srinagar.
” Around 18.40 a night, terrorists threw a grenade on BNNKER 161 BN CRPF located in the Aali area of the Eidgah Mosque in the Srinagar District which exploded on the roadside, “said a police officer.
He said a civilian named Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Hawal Srinagar, and a police officer Sajad Ahmad, residents of Narwara Eidgah, were injured in the explosion.
The police are currently on leave, he said.
Duo has rushed to the SMHS Hospital here from treatment, where the condition is in accordance with the hospital authority declared stable.
