New Delhi: Chairman of Indian Justice NV Ramana and Supreme Court Judge Lalit Law Meet President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.
“Justice NV Ramana, Chair of the Indian Judge, along with Justice Law Lalit, Judge, Supreme Court of India, called for President Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” Tweeted Official Twitter account Rashtrapati Bhavan.
It came a few days after Cji Ramana gave the office oath to nine new judges.
On August 31, nine new judges to the Supreme Court granted the Office Oath including three women.
It was the first time in the history of the Supreme Court that the nine judges had taken oath in one go.
After 1993, five lawyers n Santosh Hegde, RF Nariman, Lalit Law, LN Rao and Indu Malhotra – became the Supreme Court judge after being promoted directly to the Supreme Court bench from the bar.
On April 24 this year, NV Justice Ramana vowed as head of the next judiciary in India.
He was given an oath by President Ramnath Kovind at Ashoka Hall at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 11 am, the official release stated.
Justice Sa Bobde has retired from post before this.
