LIVERPOOL: Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson crashed into a rare Champions League goal to get a 3-2 victory over AC Milan in the opening group B Rip-Roaring in an anfield rocking on Wednesday.
Henderson was obliged in the 69th minute to complete the contest absorbing Liverpool who threatened to escape when Fikayo Tomori’s goal handed them over the initial advantage.
Amazingly, after soaking the Liverpool bombing where Mohamed missed the penalty, Milan attacked twice in a quick succession at the end of the first half with Rupik Ante and Brahim Diaz silenced a crowd of houses.
Milan had one goal that was forbidden not long after the break before wrong made a mistake for his penalty by equalizing from close range in the 49th minute.
The results are still hesitant until Henderson limits Anfield’s memorable night with the efforts of Gedebuk – only the second in the competition and the first for seven years.
