KABUL: The Islamic terrorist group claimed responsibility for two explosions that hit Western Kabul on Wednesday, Sputnik reported quoting Arabic al-Arabiya broadcaster.
The first explosion hit the Barchi Dashte area and killed four people left two more injured, according to the local population.
It was followed by another explosion, which claimed the five lives of civilians and injured seven others, Sputnik quoted a source said.
Lyons Deborah, a special UN representative for Afghanistan, said that Islamic-Khorasan (IS-K) is now developing into almost all Afghan provinces and the Taliban cannot stop them.
“The main negative development has become the inability of the Taliban to stem the expansion of the Khorasan Province of the Islamic State,” said Lyons during the UN Security Council meeting on Afghanistan.
