Clash Indo-Pak T20 WC Must Move: Prakash Padukone

Mumbai: Indian Badminton legend Prakash Padukone feels Indian-Pakistani clashes that will come in the T20 World Cup must continue to advance even though there are political tensions that apply between the two countries.
The match on October 24 will be the opening of the World Cup for both sides.
“I personally feel sports should not be mixed with politics and it must continue, it is my personal opinion, does it happen or not, I am not an authority, I no one commented,” Padukone said on the sidelines of an event at a national sports club India here.
“But if you submit a personal opinion, I think the match must advance, they have played in the past, many times, so this is no different,” he added.
AAM AAM AADMI Party (AAP), who was in the government in Delhi, on Tuesday said the match had to be canceled considering the killings of civilians recently by terrorists in Kashmir.
Overcoming a press conference, AAP MLA Atishi said there should be no cricket between the two countries until Pakistan stopped sponsoring terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I’m sure it’s not only AAP but even BJP and his leadership and Prime Minister will agree that until Pakistan stops sponsoring terror attacks in the Indian region, there should be no cricket matches between India and Pakistan,” he said at a press conference in Delhi.
So far this month, 11 civilians have been killed by terrorists in Kashmir.
On Sunday, the terrorists shot dead two workers from Bihar and injured one more after transporting their accommodation in South Kashmir.
