Ghaziabad: A 18-year-old young man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a rifle from a Chowki police officer in Ghaziabad, officials said on Tuesday.
They said Arish committed a crime after being influenced by the video on the social media platform that showed people showing off weapons.
Class X students from Pasonda Village in Ghaziabad want to make similar videos.
The problem arose on July 6 when sub-inspectors from Karan Chowki Mohit Kumar police found that Insas rifles were lost.
A pine against an unknown person is registered in section 380 (theft) and 457 (lurking homes or burglary houses after night to commit violations that can be punished by IPC).
The police checked CCTV footage where they saw a boy stealing a gun.
He was later identified.
He has explored a hole in his house in Pasonda Village to hide the rifle, which has recovered, said an officer.
Before this incident, class X students were ordered to create interference.
“In the past few weeks, he often came to the police station for this problem.
This is when he stole the key to the room where the arm was kept.
At the right time, he stole his weapon,” the officer explained.
SP-II (Ghaziabad) Gyanendra Singh said the problem was being examined.
“A similar report has been submitted to the SSP Ghaziabad by Sahibabad Sho.
The boy recognizes the crime and has been ordered under the relevant IPC section.
Further action will also be taken in the case of the police negligence on duty,” he said the boy was sent to durable.
