Chennai: When a high class XII score this year, the state government introduces additional criteria – the percentage of total values in the XII and X class exams – to break bonds in the technical ranking list.
The number of students who scored more than 551 of the 600 marks in class XII rose 16 times under the Covid-induced Baleras system followed by the State Council.
On Monday night, 1.69,897 students have registered for technical counseling and 1,30,812 students have uploaded their certificates and paying fees.
The number of registrations increased by 6% compared to last year and the qualified number of candidates increased by 16% because only 1.12 students paid their fees and uploaded their certificate last year.
The last date to submit a technical counseling is Tuesday.
To reduce bonds, the Department of School Education provides a sign with two decimal points.
And the Ministry of Higher Education changed the acceptance of Tamil Nadu in regulatory, 2007, so: “in cases where more than one student gets the same value in the general reward list, the inter-as between the candidates will be determined in Priority sequence as specified: signs in mathematics, physics, optional subjects, total signs in qualification checks, total signs in standard x checks, date of birth, random number assigned.
“Under the previous system, date of birth and randomized 10 digit numbers assigned For each candidate play a major role in breaking the tie.
“To decide on ranking based on student achievement, two new criteria have been introduced.
This will ensure that very few student rankings will be decided based on date of birth and random number this year,” officials from the Ministry of Higher Education.
Last year, random numbers were used for 791 candidates to break bonds during the ranking for 1,12,406 qualified candidates.
“This will be a very close end result because the CBSE results are given without decimal points.
The introduction of the two new criteria is a welcome step,” Jayaprakash Consultant Jayaprakash Gandhi said.
