Class Xi Boy ‘Gaming Addiction’ Ending Life in Chennai

Chennai: A class XI student ended his life at his home in the old WasherPet on Sunday.
The police said the 16-year-old boy was angry when his parents hid his cellphone to prevent him from playing the game at any time.
The deceased was identified as Vimal Kumar, a student at a school in a conditter.
Kumar Siva’s father and other family members attended the cemetery of relatives in the city on Sunday, leaving Kumar home alone.
The police said the boy looked addicted to playing games on his cellphone and this caused Siva to hide the device.
An officer said Kumar was looking for all over the house, but could not find it and grew more angry.
When his parents returned home on Sunday, they found the door locked and there was no response from Kumar.
Worried, they opened the door just to find their son died.
Information, a team of the old Washermenpet police station restored the boy’s body and sent it to the Stanley Hospital (GSH) (GSH) for postmortem.
Further investigation is active.
