Coimbatore: A class XI student, who was attacked by an ITI student and a class XII student a few days ago in Alandurai, died without responding to treatment at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) on Monday night.
Alandurai police change this case to 302 (murder) of 307 (efforts to kill) from the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
Parents and relatives of the boy who died blocked the road near the CMC’s body in protest against government teachers who were higher in secondary school for failing to remind parents of previous hostilities between two groups of students.
After the police calmed the parents and relatives, they received the boy after postmortem.
Preliminer requests revealed that class XII students were involved in a series of fighting with other students.
Two years ago, he brought a knife to school and threatened other students.
Teachers do not tell higher authority or police.
Police Inspector, Rolens Sub-Division, Thirumal held a meeting with the teacher and students of the Alndurai Government Middle School on Monday.
Thirumal urged students to focus on their studies “Most parents are daily wage workers and have high hopes for their children.
So, students must focus on their studies to shine in life.
They should not be involved in a gang fight.”
