Rajkot: A 17-year-old girl who lives in Halvad allegedly raped repeatedly by two people for the past year after they extorted her with her personal photos and videos and threatened to upload it on social media.
Class XII students finally approached Halvad’s police on Saturday after he told his parents about trials for the past months.
According to the police, the two accused Jayesh Kanjariya and Mehul Hadiyal squeezed the girl using his picture and also threatened to kill his brother if he would not submit to their demands.
Kanjariya, who also lives in Halvad, the first friendship developed with the girl and often met him.
After several meetings, Hadiyal also joined them in their meeting where he took his personal photos and videos and then, the duo began to squeeze and raped it with the pictures.
Over the past few days, the girl was depressed and changed without communicative at home.
Worried about his mental state, his parents asked what bothered him.
After a little push, the girl finally opened on Saturday and narrated the trauma she had passed.
“The family took the girl to the police station and based on his statement, we had ordered the two men for rape and extortion,” said P a Dekivadiya, Inspector of the Halvad Police Station.
The two defendants have not been arrested.
