Classical vocalist, Damodar Hota Diesi Odissi Music Legend at 87

Bhubaneswar: Damodar Hota, Doyen of Hindustan Classical which plays an important role in bringing traditional Oditsi music to the center of attention, dies on Sundays.
He was 87 years old and survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.
Know heart disease over the past few years.
He felt uncomfortable about 1 at night and breathed his last breath to a talented and versatile singer hospital, he was sent on a government scholarship to learn Classic Hindustan under the Pandit Omkarath Thakur in Genuas Hindu, where he made his graduation position.
Improved by Thakur, Hota conducted a research on the tradition of ancient music under Master Nrusinghanath Khuntia.
His commands should be imitated for eight elements (Ashtanga) Gayaki from Gwalior Gharana and his rules in Dhrupad, Dhamar, Tappa, Thumri and Bhajan made him a short scarcity of a leading vocalist.
Hota will be cremated with a country award.
