Guwahati: Nda slid the congress launching and made a clean sweep on the Bypolls held in four ne countries from Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya where he ruled by winning all 10 seats – five in Meghalaya and one in MeGalaya and one in Nagaland and Mizoram.
Of these 10 seats, BJP won three and UPPL two at Assam.
While three seats in Meghalaya have been distributed by NPP (2) and UDP (1), MNF has won a seat alone in Mizoram.
Other single chairs in Nagaland have been won by NDPP are undeniable.
In Mizoram, BJP fights against NDA, MNF, for tuirial seats.
In Meghalaya, the three NDA partners – BJP, NPP and UDP – fight each other for the rajabala seat bagged by NPP.
In Mawphlang, where UDP and NPP stick together, UDP appears as a winner.
While BJP and its partners have made an increase of eight seats, the combined strength of the Congress in the legislative assembly in three of the four countries has been reduced by four seats.
Assam’s second largest opposition, Aiudf also lost one seat, who had gone to BJP.
Congress did not have representatives in the Nagaland assembly, who recently became an opposition – less after the NPF hand in hand with the Ruler Alliance led by NDPP.
