Additional Commissioner of Police (crime) Ajay Pal Lamba said mass arrests preceded old operational planning based on specific information about the location of 382 criminals active in Jaipur.

“After search, we brought 185 suspects to be questioned at a different police station.

Lamba said all the police were instructed to carry firearms at any time during RAID and search operations.
The police said many of them were held or collected for interrogation including famous criminal gang members such as Munna Talwar, Ganga Pandit, Vinod Pathena, Vijogal, Kamal Meena, Sandeep Bungla and Shehjad Dudi.
“Raids produced property about gangs and modus operandi.
We have also learned that some of these criminals regularly intimidate their neighbors and shopkeepers in the area,” Lamba said.
While the police did not face major resistance, several suspects said they would come to the police station later on.
However, officials remained persistent with their request to check the house.
“Every corner is examined.
In some places we found land deeds and property documents indicating that the suspects were involved with several land mafia to take property,” Lamba told Toi, added that all suspects under police detention were firmly interrogated.
