Vadodara: Working to clean the Wiswamitri River has triggered a line with an animal welfare activist which states that it will disturb reptiles during their wedding season.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) starts a job on Saturday after the leaves are also ingredients on the banks of the river will block the flow of water.
The Civic body promised to do it without disturbing the river ecology.
However, Raj Bhavsar from the people of Gujarat for prevention of cruelty of animals states that crocodiles and other reptiles will breed at this time.
He added that bothering them at this stage can also cause them to explore them into populated areas.
