Clicking on the selfie in dang can land you in legal issues

Letter: Next time you visit Saputara or other tourist attractions in the beautiful Dang District, be careful not to click Selfie.
If you are caught taking one, you will commit a crime that will invite police action.
Dang has become the first district in the state that has been forbidden to take selfies in every place in the district, especially in places that are favorites of tourists.
Public notification dated June 23 forbids Selfie has been issued by additional district judges T K Damor.
Notifications forbid local residents also enter any water or body body during the rainy season to wash clothes, bath or other work to prevent accidents.
It warns that someone who caught breaking orders will be ordered under the Indian criminal code, part 188 (disobedience to order correctly announced by civil servants).
“With the start of the rainy season, there has been a big wave of tourists in Dang.
While enjoying nature, many acts are not responsible by taking selfies that lead to accidents that can prove fatal.
Notifications have been issued to prevent such incidents,” Damor said.
Administration pays attention that taking selfies is not limited to tourist attractions but places like roads, cliffs, waterfalls and rivers.
“Considering such risky behavior, commands have been released for all districts,” Damor added.
After the limitation of Covid-19 was appointed, Dang had witnessed a big rush of tourists.
In the past, the incident of dying people or suffering injuries when taking Selfie had been reported in the district.
Some tourist destinations have become so risky so that an NGO is released to hire coast guards in these places.
Believe the Ankit Charity Agency about Navsari has signed a MoU with a local government to appoint coast guards at Gira Waterfall to prevent accidents.
NGOs started by Dr.
Ashok Shroff, an eye surgeon, in 2008 after the 21-year-old Nephew Ankit died at the waterfall.
In the monsoon, when the tourist rush is high, trust makes two coast guards.
“The sequence has been spent to prevent accidents and police will implement it strictly.
Meanwhile, we take various steps because the crowd is increasing over the weekend,” said R Jadeja, police supervisor.
“Publishing notifications is a good step that will empower law enforcement agencies to take action against those who are found to behave irresponsible,” Dr.
Shroff said.
