Climate talks: India connects the success of COP26 with climate finance and green technology transfer at a low cost

New Delhi: Connecting the session of the 26th session to come from the UN Climate Conference (COP26) with Climate Financing and Green Technology Transfer at a cost, India on Monday said these two problems are “Critical Enabler for Climate Actions” which without it entered the development of carbon Low will not be realized.
“Climate finance will not be seen as a commercial investment, but as aid to develop countries to fulfill climate goals without anyone left behind,” said Minister of Environment Bhupender Yadav while almost overcoming the roundtable of the climate action on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
He appealed to participants from developed countries, including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, to act on climate financial problems with a focus on the three “scope, scale and speed”.
Yada also underlined the need to focus on ‘adaptation’ so that developing countries can prepare themselves to face the challenges of climate change.
“We need to show the urgency of climate financing now to overcome the urgency of the climate action that science is said to us,” Yadav said while underlining the responsibility of the great historical emitter.
The reference is clear with the failure of developed countries to mobilize $ 100 billion per year of climate financing to help poor and developing countries take adaptation steps.
“As many countries show, those responsible for that, are responsible for helping all countries achieve our collective goals.
Actions (from developed countries) at the front, unfortunately, have not been convinced for developing countries,” he said.
Roundtable together was held by Johnson and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to build a momentum for higher climate action (mitigation targets) of all countries, especially developing countries such as India, ahead of COP26 scheduled to be held at Glasgow, England in November.
Referring to such a tone made by Johnson and the others during the roundtable, said Yadav, “India has improved the ambition manifold.
We have announced the ambitious target of 450 GW renewable energy in 2030.
It is a high bar with any size.
In fact, even It is one of the most ambitious targets in the world.
“Our solar installed capacity has increased 15 times in the past six years.
We have established the International Surya Alliance to utilize solar energy and grow international cooperation in this sector.
“It is expected that India will renew the nationally determined contribution ‘(NDCs) – Climate action – under the Paris Agreement by taking into account the new renewable energy goals and the excessive arrest of the 2015 appointment on the mitigation front in terms of reducing carbon intensity (emissions per unit of GDP).
