Gurgaon: A 51-year-old man has a shave near when two motorbike riders allegedly opened fire on his vehicle in Panchgaon as he drove past Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on Saturday.
The bullet hit the rear window of his car.
Parveen Rao (51), a reward, was on his way to Gurgaon in Mahindra Thar to meet his brother, who underwent treatment at a private hospital in the city.
Rao was near the Panchgaon when two criminals followed him on a bicycle and tried to block the road.
When he did not stop, the defendant opened the fire targeting him and one of the bullets hit Thar’s back window.
Rao then accelerated and went straight to the Manbaran police station.
“They fired several rounds and one of the bullets hit the window behind the vehicle,” Rao said.
“The defendant tried to pursue me but they could not compensate for the speed of my vehicle.
They tried to kill me,” he added.
Inspector Pankaj, Station House Officer (SHO) from the Manesar Police Station said that the complainant reached the police station with his car which had a sign of a bullet.
“We have registered a case and tried to track the defendant,” he said.
We suspect that the attack might be related to his complaint submitted with the Union Minister Rao Inderdit Singh against two communities in Gurgaon and Rewari.
However, the police believed that this could also be an effort to grab vehicles.
“It could be a case that allows taking a vehicle too,” said an IPC police and the relevant arm of acting at the Manbar police station.
