Close Cost for 50% of Pvt, Demed University Medical Chair: NMC

Mumbai: Costs for 50% of seats in private medical colleges and universities that are considered to be equal to those charged in government universities in the state or UT, the National Medical Commission (NMC) said in their guidelines for cost regulations in memorandum issued at 3.
February 3.
If the guidelines are implemented, 50% of seats at universities that are considered DY Patil or Bhartiya Vidyapeth can cost students only around Rs 1.25 lakh per year.
At present, costs at universities are considered unregulated and those in private universities are determined by FRA countries for service seats.
NMC has recommended bringing universities that are considered under FRA.
NMC said the decision was taken “after an extensive consultation” and the benefits of this cost structure will be first available for candidates who have used the government’s quota seats, but are limited to the level of 50% of the total sanction power from the campus.
‘Pvt & Deemed Univ can challenge Medif’how norms, if the government’s quota seats are less than 50% of the total sanctions seats, the remaining candidates will take advantage of the cost of costs equivalent to the costs of government medical colleges, murit-based, “it was added.
The expert committee formed by the Istama Medical Council of India in November 2019 and then by NMC recommended 26 broad concept guidelines for fixation of costs.
This was published in May 2021 and feedback was invited from all stakeholders.
Based on 1,800 responses, new expert committees were dissolved, and NMC Receive their recommendations.
“This guideline seems too good to be true,” said Representative of Parents Sudha Shenoy.
“If applied like that, it will be a big benefit for students.
But private colleges and consider it will challenge him, because they do not get a grant from the government, “he said.
Dean of medical institutions that are considered in Maharashtra said they would consider and appeal against this.” We have not received official intimacy.
not yet.
Apart from the direction, they have also issued guidelines for fixation of costs.
It is not clear whether the guidelines are for the remaining 50% of seats.
Universities must double the current costs in the remaining seats to make the first round equivalent to the cost of the government medical college, “said Dean, adding a lot to close the store if it was applied.” It was truly irrational, “said a dean of a private college.
While the NMC secretary, Sandhya Bhullar, cannot be reached for comments, an official from the Ministry of Health and the welfare of the family said the recommendations would be final after the notification waste based on memorandum.
