Close for repairs, Tara Tarini Temple tends to open immediately

Tara Tarini Temple, one of the famous Shakti temples in the state, located near Purushotel Mampur in Ganjam has not opened its door for worshipers even though the bar when entering several other religious places in the district has long been raised after repairs in the Covid-19 situation here.
The temple, located on the top of the hill on the banks of the Rushikulkya River, is among places of worship to close in mid-April after the resurrection of new cases.
“Even though we were allowed to open other religious places while maintaining the Covid protocol, we limited the public to visit Tara Tarini Temple to accelerate the ongoing development work in its place,” District Collector (Ganjam) Vijay Amruta Kouse.
He added, “The work of infrastructure development worth around Rs 50 Crore has occurred inside the temple place to turn it into an interesting religious destination in the state.
We have set the target to complete all works in November.

Because they have not been allowed to enter the temple, we face difficulties in defending our family,” said Tapan Rana, one of Sevayats.
