Gurgaon: After a five-month gap, the city has returned to detention steps due to the cases of Covid-19 daily and the level of participants have seen uptick.
On Thursday, the district government told three detention zones on the basis of proposals from the Ministry of Health to examine the spread of the virus.
The number of detention zones has peaked during the second wave in April and May.
The last time Gurgaon had one on June 28, when 128 people were tested positively.
Three places that have now been sealed include regions near Amity Global School in Sector 56, Tower K in Central Park, Park Resort in Sector 48, all of which have four active cases, and apartment towers of Beire A in Sector 54, which have three active cases.
Door-to-door checks will be carried out in this detention zone and MCG will clean the area.
The detention zone will be considered denession after a period of 14 days.
The Ministry of Health also sought assistance from Gurgaon police to ensure that those who had tested positive for Covid did not leave their homes during the recovery period.
The police were also asked to focus on searching for primary and secondary contacts.
“We need to ensure that contacts are tracked and patients in house isolation remain indoors,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, the Head of Medical Official, Gurgaon.
At present, the city has 80 active cases, and 72 patients are in house isolation.
The police said they would follow the same protocol which was originally during detention.
“All cellphone numbers of patients in house isolation will be marked by geographical and their movements are monitored to ensure they live at home,” said Subhash Police spokesman Benek.
The doctor connects the increase in cases to weakness among people.
“In general, people don’t wear masks or clean hands, as a result the daily infection has risen,” said J P Rajliwal, district surveillance officers, Gurgaon.
The city on Thursday reported 13 fresh Covid cases, took the calculation to 181,585.
One death was also reported.
The level of pepony is at 0.5%.
As many as 18 people recovered that day, bringing the total recovery to 180,580.
On Friday, 48 government session sites will be arranged for vaccination – 42 sites for covishield, five for covaxin and one for Sputnik V.
In addition, the health team will visit 141 areas to inoculate door-to-door.
