Coimbatore: Police Supervisor S Selvanagarathinam held a meeting on Wednesday to revive police clubs and police in the district.
Police’s sub-inspectors responsible for the police and women clubs from the district took part in the meeting.
The club’s club and the police functions in 10 boundaries of police stations such as Mettupalayam, Thudiangur, PeriyanayakanPalayam, Perur, Vadavalli, Kinathukadavu, East Pollachi, Western Pollabi, Animalai and tendrils.
Because of a pandemic, the club can’t work.
Selvanagarathinam told police officers responsible for boys and girls to increase the strength of boys and girls in each club.
He said that the public could visit the police station and submit an application to register their ward at a boys and girl.
It must be ensured that the welfare measures intended for boys and women from the government and the police department are available for them.
He said that the district police would launch an initiative called ‘Thiru’ to guide children on the right path.
This initiative is present at the pilot stage, he said .TNN
