Clubhouse on Android gets requested features

NEW DELHI: Audio-only social networking app Clubhouse was finally launched on Android in India last month.
Since its Android launch, the app is coming up with new features so that it can increase its downloads and also compete with rivals like Twitter Spaces.
At a recent Town Hall meeting, the app confirmed that it will soon end the invite system.
The company has now rolled out a new update for Android users.
After the update, Android users will be able to add their Instagram and Twitter accounts to their profile.
In the release note, the company said that this was the ‘most requested’ feature.
In order to add your Twitter and Instagram accounts to the Clubhouse profile, you will just have to tap on the “Add Twitter” or “Add Instagram” options given in the app.
The company said, “We’ve heard you loud and clear—this has been the most requested Android feature and it’s here! Adding social accounts to your profile is a great way to help people on Clubhouse get to know you better, follow your other accounts, and DM you—if your IG/Twitter settings allow for it.” Along with this, Clubhouse is also making it easier to follow clubs and speakers directly from their rooms.
After you’re in a room for a couple of minutes, you’ll see a reminder to follow the club or speakers in the room at the bottom of the screen.
Just tap “Follow” to see their future rooms in your Hallway, and to get notified when they go live.
Lastly, Clubhouse on Android is also adding upcoming events on a club page.
Now you can easily find out when a club has more than one upcoming event.
Just go to the club page and you’ll see all its upcoming events—and be able to scroll through them if there’s more than one.
If an event looks interesting, remember to tap the bell ? to RSVP and get notified when it begins.
