Chennai: Chairman of the Minister of Tamil Nadu minister on Tuesday announced Rs 300 Crore to repair the road, waterways and other infrastructure damaged due to heavy rain in recent weeks.
He also announced subsidies of agricultural input, in addition to compensation of Rs 20,000 per hectare for short-term retired rice trimming, KAR and Sornavari which was fully damaged in the Delta district.
The announcement occurred after the ministerial team led by the Cooperative Minister I Periiasamy, who had visited the Delta area, submitted a report to him on Tuesday.
“The minister’s chairmen held a review meeting on reports with ministers, the Head of Secretary of V IRAI ANBU and other officials,” said an official statement, registering the announcement of the Minister of Chief.
The agricultural input subsidy of RS 6,038 has been booked for every hectare of sinking samba harvest and to help farmers take a cultivation again.
Farmers will get 45 kg of short-term rice seeds at Rs 1,485, 25 kg of micronutrients to control plant diseases in Rs 1,235, 60kg Urea at Rs 354 and 125kg in-Ammonium phosphate at Rs 2,964.
During his visit to the Delta district on Saturday, the minister’s chairman said the long-term Samba cultivation was at 17.46 lakh hectares, where plants were raised in 68,652 hectares.
The seven ministers have visited the Delta district and raises the view of the farmer.
Minister of Thangam Thennarasu, S Regupathy, K R Pridentakanan, Rakkarapani, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, C V Meyyyanathan and Mr.
Panneerselvam are members of the team.
The minister’s chairman stated that his government would take efforts to get funds from the center to rain relief.
