The number of those who stayed at the houses of a double-doubled shelter during the winter and apart from these people, 3,000 workers at the Delhi project location the government will also benefit from the initiative, the government stated.
“The poorest of the poor lives in a shelter operated by the government,” Kejriwal said after launching the initiative on Sunday.
He said these people were forced to sleep on the road and walk to the house to escape the hard weather and get a place to sleep.
These people, said Kejriawal, do not make banks from any political party, and the majority of them do not even have a voter ID card.
“This is why it doesn’t matter which party is in power, they don’t care about the condition of all these people,” he said.

“Previously, the condition was so disaster so it wasn’t even the poorest who wanted to come and stay under the roof of the house of residence; the toilet was terrible, no drinking water, no shower supply,” he said.
“The current time has come for a new start.
At the beginning of the pandemic skill that was induced last year, we had begun to set twice a day at home a shelter.
Now I am happy that Akshaya Patra Foundation has advanced to take the initiative ahead,” Kejriwal said.
Urban Development Minister Satyendar Jain said that Akshaya Patra would provide free food twice a day to people at the shelter’s house.
He said the provisions were made to feed all people in the winter months as well, when the number in the shelters doubled.
“I thank their Akshaya Patra because he advanced to take responsibility,” Jain added.
