Varanasi: After taking a stock of the flood situation in Varanasi on Thursday, Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath minister on Friday visited Ghazipur and Ballia and conducted a flood-affected area air survey.
In Ghazipur, CM attended the flood assistance program at Gahmar Inter College in Gahmar Village.
He listened to people’s problems and distributed assistance material between 182 families of Sevrai, conscious, Muhammadibad, and Tehsils.
He also held a meeting with officials and public representatives on that occasion.
CM directs officials to ensure all assistance to people in the flood area.
Then, talking to reporters, CM said that the flood had affected 620 villages in 24 countries.
The situation of the flood became gloomy after releasing additional water from Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Regular monitoring of relief work is being carried out in the flood-affected area.
“In the Ghazipur district, the flood has affected 32 villages,” he said, adding that rescue operations and assistance continued on the war footing.
CM takes each stock and any settings made by administration to save people and assistance work done so far.

Sangeeta, Alka Rai, MLC Chanchal Singh, President of Zila Panchayat Sapna Singh and the others also attended the occasion.
In Ballia, cm examined the flood situation caused by the Ganges, Ton and Saryhu river which had affected the population of around 1.25 lakh in 34 villages.
After inspection, he met the flood-affected people in Nagaji Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Maldepur and gave them relief material.
