Chennai: Tamil Majelis Nadu on Thursday saw an exchange that was heated between the MK Stalin and opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami for the murder of Heist Kodanad, with the former accused his predecessor to take a little actions in underground incidents under the underground chairman of the minister J Jayalalithaa which has declared the camp office.
Palaniswami said the tea plantation had gone to ‘ownership’ of individuals after the death of Jayalalithaa.
The former minister’s chairman, who participated in the debate on demand for a grant for the Department of House, the portfolio held by Stalin, demanded that the government aggressively take the installation of CCTV cameras in companies and cities to prevent crime incidents.
For this, Stalin said that Kodanad was not a regular place and CCTV was issued during the incident (Heist murder).
“Aren’t you aware of that? You are the main minister for four years.
What actions you take,” asked CM, triggered a heated debate.
Palaniswami said the security cover to the plantation was provided by the police during the previous cm still alive.
The government will provide security for personal property only if there is a request.
AIADMK has opposed further investigation into crime after the DMK government assumes costs, accusing political vendetta to involve palaniswami.
When Stalin raised the request to point to Palaniswami about why ‘his party’ was looking to continue to resist the investigation at the Supreme Court, challenging a low court order, EPS accused the minister’s chairman was accidental allegations, even as one of 43 witnesses went to court.
“Why did you link them and we? Investigate, we don’t oppose it,” he said, crashing Stalin for sweeping the problem during the election with political vendetta.
On the allegations of Palaniswami that Gutka’s sales developed in the state, the minister’s head said the government acted on it.
Opposition leaders may not forget the registered cases (by the CBI) in the alleged bribery given to officials and former ministers.
Amper rises when the palaniswami statement about certain crime incidents involving DMK partymen repeatedly abolished.
