CM examines the ongoing museum works in Keeladi

Madurai: Chief Minister M K Stalin examined the works of Rs 12.21 Crore Museum which was being established to showcase artifacts that have been excavated in Keeladi and its cluster villages by the Tamil Nadu State Archaeological Department in the last four phases of excavation.
Stalin, who arrived in Madurai on Friday afternoon, proceeded to the site of Archaeological Keeladi in Sivaganga District and spent three hours there.
The main secretary to the Minister of Chief, T Udhayaachandran and the main secretary for tourism, culture and HR and CE B Chandramohan explained to Stalin, details of various artifacts and sites.
As a quadrant with their findings not closed after the excavation ended in September this year, the head of the minister walked on a narrow road between them.
Last year, Stalin has visited the site as an opposition leader and was impressed with the excavation.
As many as 11,470 artifacts excavated by the Archaeological Department in the fourth phase until the seventh must be exhibited in the museum.
Some of them, including whorls spindle, mortar and pestle, potsherds, pots are stored along with descriptive photos for cm benefits.
Stalin was accompanied by several state ministers and sivaganga district collectors.
