MUMBAI: Maharashtra Main minster Uddhav Thackeray on Monday flagged off the Road Operate for Metro 2A along with Metro Seven corridors, which Operate Across the Link Road and Western Express Highway at Western suburbs of Mumbai.
The commissioning of the traces is planned in two phases.
The initial stage (20 kilometers ) involving Dahanukarwadi into Aarey (18 channels ) is anticipated to start in October whereas the whole corridor is anticipated to start in January 2022.
The maiden route run started by Aakurli Metro station on Western Express channel also it had been flagged away by Thackeray, that had been accompanied by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, urban growth ministry Eknath Shinde, tourism ministry Aaditya Thackeray and many others.
“The oscillation trial of model six-car rake is going to be run on Line 2A (Yellow line) and Line 7 (Red line) at different speeds.
Even the sub-systems, additional equipments will be analyzed under dynamic problems.
Integration with indicating, telecom and Platform Screen Doors is going to be analyzed together with different security evaluations,” explained Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) spokesperson.
When the oscillation paths are finished, the train-set will then be provided to commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) for review and certificate.
A total of 10 train-sets will probably be offered by October, 2022.
The business operations are proposed in October, 2021 inside this stretch (Dahanukarwadi into Aarey through Dahisar) on the two sides.
Even though Metro 2A is currently 17.
5km long, Metro 7 which runs involving Dahisar and Western Express Highway metro station, is using a span of 18.
6 km.
The spokesperson stated,”Almost 93 percent of the civil functions for these two lines are finished and system functions are continuing in full swing.
The whole system is anticipated to be prepared for trials and testing at the end of December, 2021.
” These two Metro traces were sanctioned by country authorities on October 6, 2015.
The Bhoomipujan has been performed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 11, 2015.
As of today just 1 line of Metro (Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar) is usable in Mumbai.
This 12km long east-west Metro corridor premiered at June 2014.
