Soren led the inaugural meeting of the 23rd council, which was formed last week with the main minister as his former president chairman.
The board was formed based on the provisions of the Jharkhand Tribes Council Rule 2021.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, however, distanced itself from the meeting, sucking the establishment of the Board as “unregistered, arbitrary and violating regulations”.
Leading a virtual meeting, Soren said TAC rules were not made in the state for the past 20 years and it was the current government that made the rules and members nominated.
“The Board will be proven to be helping in preparing better action plans for the development of tribal communities.
Special attention needs to be given to 27 percent of the Jharkhand tribe to strengthen their social, economic, education and political aspects,” Soren said.

Champai Soren, Vice President, Jharkhand Tac said the problem related to tribal development would be taken at the next body meeting.
TAC member – Stephen Marandi, Bandhu Tirkey, Sita Soren, Chamra Linda, among others, attended the meeting.
But BJP, called the TAC formation as “incomplete and unconstitutional” and boycotting meeting.

Marandi accused that the Hemant government has formed a TAC that violates the fifth schedule of the Indian Constitution, which is said to be “arbitrary” and “breaking the rules”.
He said that the basic spirit of TAC was to advise the government for a comprehensive development of the tribal community and in the changed rules, the provisions had contradicted the original spirit.
He said that women must be given representation in TAC other than primitive tribe members but in vain.
Marandi said that TAC had been formed by violating the strength of the governor and BJP had given a representation in this matter to the governor on June 6 in such circumstances, BJP said it would oppose the TAC meeting and members of BJP would not attend their meetings.
The BJP meeting also occurred under the leadership of the State President and MP Deepak Prakash, which was attended by TAC members and former Chief Minister of Babulal Marandi, TAC members and ministers and Mla Neelkanth Singh Munda, Tac Koche Munda, Rajya Sabha MP Sameer Oraon, among others.
