Varanasi: Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister, on Tuesday, inaugurated and placed the foundation stone from various projects under Virtually Smart City Varanasi.
According to a spokesman for Varanasi Smart City Sn Sonthalia, CM inaugurated the new e-bus charging station built for air-conditioned electronic buses in the city.
To reduce pollution and promote green public transportation, the Urban Development Department up has allocated 700 air-conditioned e-buses in 14 cities, where 50 buses are being operated in Varanasi.
The e-bus charging station has been built in the Mirzamurad region of Rajatalab Tehsil with 2 sub-stations of 160 KVA each has a total of 30 bus charging capacity at a time.
On average, it will take 60-90 minutes to fill one bus e after the bus will be able to travel 120 km.
Warehouse maintenance, building substation, construction point charging, toilet, lighting system, drinking water, guard room, meter and pump room and rainy water harvesting is also provided at the e-bus charging station.
CM also inaugurates free Wi-Fi facilities in seven locations in the city.
Residents will be able to take advantage of free Wi-Fi facilities for 30 minutes by entering through the cellphone number and password once (OTP).
These seven places include Rudraksh International Convention Center-Shaheed Udyan Park, Sarnath Museum, Chaudhary Charan Stand Bus Interstate, Kachhehri (near DM Office), Ambedkar Chauraha, and Multi-level Godowlia parking.
In addition, CM also placed the Foundation stone for the rebuilding and six garden and beauty pools including Vijay Nagar Park, Rampuri Park, Swami Vivekananda Park, Nagar Das Park, Neel Cottage Park, Kilaagarh Colony Park and Ramjanki Seva Samiti Kund.
Landscaping and path work, installation of high pole and solar lights, kiosks, open gyms, children’s play areas must be done under this project.
