Lucknow: Chairman of the Minister of Yogi Adityanath on Friday said, this is a matter of pride for Uttar Pradesh that Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey Saink School in Lucknow is setting standards for other institutions with their academic advantages.
Overcoming the closing ceremony of the year Jubilee Diamond School, he said, the former Chief of the Minister Sampurnanand imagined the need for a sainik school in the sixties.
“Only two years after establishing this school, India was attacked by China in 1962.
Sampurnanand Ji had a view far ahead and could feel the need for a richi school in the country,” he said.
CM said, India had to thank Sampurnan and for his vision.
“It is his warner which leads to the establishment of a sainik school that stirs the residents who are disciplined not only for the army, but also in administration, management and health,” he said.
Repeating that Lucknow is home to the first sainik school in the country, said CM, the problem of the pride of the government laid the foundation of the Fifth Up Sainik School in Gorakhpur this year.
“Education is not limited to book knowledge.
It aims to develop a holistic individual, and this is well depicted by this school,” CM said.
He also added, “Our government continues to work for women’s empowerment.
In 2018, we decided to recognize a daughter in a sainik school.
In 2017, when we came to power, we paid tribute to Cargil Hero Captain Manoj Pandey by naming school after him.”
