Gurugram: The Chairman of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar is scheduled to inaugurate three projects worth around RS 260 Crore in the city on Monday.
He will also lead a meeting to hear people’s complaints.
While the first project scheduled to be launched is about replacing automatic diesel rickshaws with tricycle operated with batteries, the other two are waste of energy in Sonipat and increased drinking water supply in various sectors.
The first project to be launched by Khattar is Parivartan, where 2,000 auto diesel will be replaced with e-rickshaw at the cost of Rs 6 Crore.
The minister’s chairman will be a tricycle from the Galleria market area.
In 2015, the authority of the control of the environmental pollution (EPCA) had ordered the prohibition of autos diesel in Delhi-NCR.
In 2016 again, the state government had passed a similar order in Autos diesel more than 10 years.
However, repetitive orders and challenges, failed to wave trouble polluting.
What has submitted a challenge to the drive against the old Diesel Autos is the lack of alternative public transportation.
In the absence of a metro network in some areas or adequate bus services, this auto has emerged as the cheapest and most convenient travel mode.
The government now plans to provide incentives to the switch by providing subsidies to automatic owners and promoting e-rickshaws.
Parivartan Project is a joint initiative of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and Corporation Municipal Gurugram (MCG).
Some of the proposed locations of the AA e-becak zone are MG Road Metro Stations, IFFCO Chowk, downtown Huda, Galleria Market, Cyber City to Golf Course Road and Subhash Chowk “for the launch of this project, we have made a field survey and Conduct consultation with all stakeholders to get it, “said an RTA official.
Khattar will launch two other projects from the PWD break home.
One of them is the waste of energy plants in Sonīpat, which requires Rs 176.9 Crore.
This factory is part of the management of solid waste integrated Sonīpat-Panipat, which will include a group of four urban local agencies – Sonipat, Panipat, Gianurs, and Samalkha.
The third project is about increasing water supply to sector housing area 81 to 99.
Implemented by GMDA, RS 76.2 Crore has been spent on this water supply scheme by Haryana’s Urban Development Authority in more than 16 sectors.
Apart from this, the commissioning work of partial water supply schemes will also be inaugurated in five sectors – 88A, 88B, 92, 95 and 95A.
GMDA has put a 55.3 km pipe for water supply.
