Bhubaneswar / Religious: In what is said to be the beginning of the biggest initiative to change school education in the state in recent years, Minister of Naveen Patnaik’s chairman on Saturday to inaugurated 10 enhanced secondary schools in the assembly chair, Hinjili.
From Smart Class, E-Libraries, Advanced Science Laboratory for Cleaning Drinking Water, Toilets and Sports Facilities, these schools have experienced large facelifts with the help of community, alumni and Pancayati members Raj.
Schools look like a modern private school, which offers education by chargeing a large fee, and has sheded images have leaky roofs and rickety furniture.
Speaking after virtually inaugurating new schools and improved, Naveen said, “A child is a symbol of the endless possibilities.
The transformation will bring better opportunities to fulfill their dreams and laid the foundation of new Odisha.” While 50 schools like that are ready for The inauguration in the Hinjili assembly segment, 27 in Hinjili and 23 in the Sheragada block, Naveen said 1,070 more schools in the state would experience similar renovations in the first phase.
Odisha has around 5,000 secondary schools managed by the government.
Infra ‘school’ is equivalent to international standards’ the government has spent 50 lakh rs to 60 lakh rs at any school like alumni support, corporate social responsibility funds and Panchayat gram funds (GPD).
Under the National MO School initiative, if alumni contributed a large number of schools, the government provided doubled that number.
Some MLA was present at school during the inauguration.
“Schools that change are equivalent to international standard infrastructure,” said Pranaab Prakash Das, program coordinator and MLA, said.
“This is a dream project from the chairman of the Minister and thanks to the district administration for changing secondary school in the mission mission,” said Pratap Khari Deb, Mla from Aul, said.
