Bhubaneswar: Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik on Sunday laying the foundation stone for Adarsha Vidyalaya Center of Excellence in Andharua, on the outskirts of the city.
The school will be arranged in a 25 hectare area at an estimated investment of Rs 100 Crore.
“Schools will become a milestone in the current school transformation program in the state and will play a major role in providing quality education to students with contributing from country rural areas,” said Naveen.
The school will have a total of 1000 seats, each of which is 500 for class XI and XII, which will be selected from 314 Adarsha Vidyalaya throughout the state.
The center will have 13 hectares for the school building with 26 classrooms, eight laboratories, four hostels, 22 quarters of teaching staff and rooms on the side of the 12 hectares of playground.
“The school will begin to enter from the 2022-23 academic session.
Apart from regular studies, students will get coaching for various national level entrances including the National Defense Academy (NDA),” said Minister of School Education and Mass Samir Ranjan Dash.
CM also discussed 443 newly appointed Adarsha Vidyalaya teachers and asked them to make schools become models for others throughout India.
