Bhubaneswar: Chairman of the Naveen Patnaik Minister on Wednesday Virtually inaugurated 11 Cybercrime and Economic Police Stations (CC & EO), including one in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.Naveen said the government was committed to providing a modern police system with trained police technology-based and protect the life, freedom and property of Odisha people.
“Cybercrime appears quickly.
What makes it worrying is that they are not limited by jurisdictional boundaries.
Because information sources are always based on servers that are abroad, the collection of evidence against the perpetrators is very challenging,” added the minister’s chief added.
Furthermore, said economic violations, have emerged as a blue collar crime, which not only affects citizens, but also causes an in-depth injury to the financial health of a country.
“This CC & EO police station will have trained police and technical experts.
They will be equipped with the latest hardware and software needed to investigate economic violations and cyberspace,” he added, the government has gave sanctions six posts (two IT analyst, three financial analysts / accounts and two cyber forensic analysts) for each cyber police station.
Officers, who have posted at the cyber police station, have undergone special training.

The head of the minister also inaugurated three enhanced police stations at the Info Valley Special Economic Zone and Pahal (both under the District Police of the City of Bhubaneswar) apart from Bayalis Mouza under the Cuttack Urban Police District.
At least 779 cases of cybercrime have been registered throughout the state since January to May this year.
The Notes of the Odisha police revealed that at all 1,931 cases of Cybercrime were registered last year due to against 1,475 in 2019, a 31% increase.
