Hyderabad: Telangana Congress President Revanth Reddy on Friday demanded Chief of Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from suppressing party agitation on the increase in gasoline and diesel prices in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s instructions.
The BJP government in the Central Government and TRS in Telangana has collected RS 36 Lakh Crore from the people in the past seven years to tax on gasoline and diesel.
While gasoline can be given at Rs 40 per liter, the central and state tax tax collected together takes the total price to Rs 105 per liter in Telangana, he said.
“The CM KCr must face severe consequences after the powerful Congress, if he continues to suppress agitation using the police.
Congress agitation will not stop until the central and state governments reduce taxes to reduce fuel prices for ordinary people,” Revanth said.
He handles a large meeting of party leaders and workers at Dharna Sthal near Indira Park where they gather to observe several hours of DeeseSha, which will be followed by the “Challo Raj Bhavan” rally.
However, the police suspended all the main leaders of the Congress including Revanth Reddy and hundreds of leaders and party workers when they tried to march towards Raj Bhavan.
Previously, police denied permission to rally Chalo Raj Bhavan.
Tensions apply in Dharna sthal before the police carry a situation under control.
Revanth accused that the cellphone of the Congress leaders was tapped by the police.
A large number of congressional leaders and workers were detained or placed under detention of houses in the front of the Congress, Chalo Raj Bhavan.
“A complaint will be submitted against the Intelligence Police Chief Prabhakar Rao with the UNI Ministry,” he said.
Trying to increase the moral party cadres, Revanth said the Congress would be in power in two years.
“All police officers and police personnel who allegedly worked for help Boss TRS will be responsible for the Congress government,” said the Head of the New TPCC.
