Mumbai: Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday announced the RS 100 Crore fund for further development of the Topwala Medical College and B Y L Nair Hospital on the occasion of the hospital centenary celebration.
While the press record issued by the Director of General Information and Public Relations (DGIPR) said the state government would provide funds, the BMC press release said it would be provided with the state and BMC.
In a function held at the hospital on Saturday, Thackeray said, “A century ago, some generous advanced and so we got a gift of life through this hospital.

Thackeray said after the 2005 flood, the laboratory was established at Kasturba Hospital for infectious diseases.
