Mumbai: Bombay High Court on Friday Minister Union Narayan Rane to submit a separate petition instead of only one who tried to cancel the fires registered at six police stations throughout the state of his controversial comment on the minister of chairman of Uddhav Thackeray.
Rane has filed a petition trying to cancel cases that nest in Mahad, Nashik, Pune, Thane, Jalgaon and Ahmednagar.
On Friday when the request came to hear before the division bench from Judge S Shinde and N J Jamadar, the court said it would be better if a separate petition was submitted for each.
“The firs has a different police station.
Let the challenge for each FIR in a separate petition.
It will be easier for prosecution also to take instructions from each police station,” said the court.
Advice Rane Ashok Mundaragi and Advocate Aniket Nikam agreed and said they would submit a separate petition.
They seek temporary protection in all cases.
“Prevention previously said they would not take coercive action against Rane in FIR registered by police Nashik Cyber.
Similar protection must be given in other cases too,” Mundaragi said.
The court said he would first hear the request and then decided.
It was said that the previous police statement about no compulsion action in the case of the Nashik police station will continue until the next hearing date.
The court posted this problem to hear more on September 30.
Additional Public Prosecutor Jayesh Yagnik, appeared for prosecution, said Rane had assured that he would work with investigations carried out by police Nashik and had to appear before on September 25 to record his statement.
Mundaragi said Rane would work together and appeared through video conferencing.
Rane faced this shot for his words that he would slap Maharashtra’s Head of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray for the “ignorance” of the last year of Indian independence year.
The statement made last month, has triggered political ranks and protests.
