Mumbai: Chairman of Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Interior Minister Dilip Walse Patil on Wednesday launched 91 ‘Nirbhaya squad’ in Mumbai to protect women.
The chairman of the minister launched the ‘Nirbhaya squad’ virtually while the Interior Minister Dilip Walse Patil and the Cabinet Minister Aaditya Thackeray attended the event directly.
Overcoming today’s launch ceremony, CM Uddhav Thackeray said, “We will work to ensure that Maharashtra will be known as a Savior of women not only in India but around the world.
Maharashtra is a ‘Shakti Pujak’ (Women’s Force Shakti).” He said that Maharashtra always worshiped and respected women.
“Troops consist of specially trained women and men who are placed in Mumbai, 24/7.
One can suppress 103 for immediate assistance,” said the Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Aaditya Thackeray during the event.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State House stated that the community in which women insecure would never prosper.
“Women’s safety is not only limited to himself and his family, but for the whole community.
The woman who visited the police station with complaints should be heard and the action must be taken immediately,” said Patil.
