Cm: the financial burden of anti-naxal operations must be distributed

Patna: Head of Bihar Minister Nith Kumar on Sunday said that the operation of left-wing extremism (LWE) was a joint responsibility of the center and state government, therefore, the financial burden must also be distributed by both.
Overcoming a high-level meeting organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to review the Lwe scenario in the country, he further attracted the attention of the center to the policy of charging all costs to spread the spread of central armed police forces for operations.
“The fight against Naxal violence to maintain internal security is the responsibility of the country and the center.
But all costs are borne by the state government.
I request that this expenditure must be shared by the two governments,” Nitish said at the meeting, led by the Minister Domestic Amit Shah.
The leaders of other affected Lwe countries also discussed the meeting, which was held at Delhi Vigyan Bhawan.
In his speech, Nitish also said that the Bihar government was always fast in making timely payments to MHA on this account, and “at this time, there was no payment caused by Bihar.” Nitish further demands an increase in the central funding ratio under the modernization of the Modern Police Police Forces (MPF) scheme.
“This center has helped countries through the MPF scheme.
In consentance with time, it is realized that the arrangement and scope of this scheme need to be expanded, but on the contrary, the center has reduced funds under the component of the MPF scheme plan.
The center and state share ratio The scheme has been stored at 60:40.
From TA 2000-2001 to 2014-2015, the center provides an average fund under MPF only for RS 40 Crore.
But then, it has been reduced to Rs 27 Crore per year.
This number is very inadequate And it needs to be improved manifold.
For countries such as Bihar who have limited resources, the ratio must be 90: 10, “Nitish said.
Nitish then asked Mha to reconsider the proposed Bihar to spread a helicopter permanently in the state.
MHA has suggested that Bihar must use a helicopter that is deployed in the Jharkhand as and when it needs to appear.
