Lucknow: Ahead of the upcoming assembly poll in the state, the Chair of the Yogi Adityanath Minister will distribute around 20 Lakh-free gas connections under the scheme of Ujjwala 2.0 Central Government on Wednesday.
Virtual programs have been held where cm will also interact with several beneficiaries of the scheme.
“Under Ujwala 2.0, migrant workers can use free cooking gas connections only with self declaration.
They are not required to submit documents such as proof of address.
This scheme aims to provide a free LPG connection to a low-income family that is not covered below the first phase of PMUY , “said a government spokesman.
SKME Ujjwala 2.0 was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10 when he handed the LPG connection to beneficiaries in Maha.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by PM on May 1, 2016, from Ballia at Uttar Pradesh.
