Religious: The Chair of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik will put the foundation stone for the Mega Drinking Water Supply Project at the Harabhagi Reservoir during his visit to Paradahhemundi in the Gajapati District on Monday.
The proposed drinking water project, is estimated to cost Rs 796.19 Crore, will provide drinking water up to 80 Panchayats in four Mohana, R.Odaygiri, Nuagada and Gumma blocks.
“Tenders have been completed for this project.
Work order will be issued only after finalizing the tender,” said Prakash Chandra Behera, executive engineer, rustic water supply and sanitation (RWSS), paralleakhemundi.
He said the project would be completed within two years since the work order problem.
The Mega Drinking Water Supply Project will help to achieve an ambitious plan of the state government to provide access to safe drinking water inside where every household in rural areas in 2024, said an engineer.
During his visit, the minister’s chairman will also inaugurate several projects in the constituency of Mohana and Paradahhemundi Assembly and distributing smart health cards in Paralahhemundi.
