MySuru: Mysuru District Minister St Somashekar said on Thursday showing that the government could act against officials for the demolition of a temple in Huchchagani in Nanji Taluk, even when he asserted that the government was not in a place that arises from drives demolition.
The Chairman of the Bukavaraj Minister Bommai was confiscated from this issue and would take the right action after the government received a report from the district administration, he said.
According to him, Deputy Commissioner MySuru Bagadi Gautham and Nanjangud Tahsildar Mohanakumari has published a notice that is looking for an explanation.
Revenue Minister R Ashoka also has a serious problem and will act on a report from Mysuru DC, he told reporters.
Declaring a Demolition drive has been stopped temporarily, he said CM will receive a call after discussing it with colleagues of the cabinet.
He said there would be clarity on weekends.
The government will discuss the pros and cons of the Supreme Court’s instructions on the demolition of illegal places of worship or in public places, he added.
This happened on the day when hundreds of activists and residents of the right-wing village of Huchchagani protested in Mysuru looking for actions against officials, especially Nanji Tahsildar.
They accused the officials destroyed the temple in the early hours.
Protesters gathered at the northern gate of Mysuru Palace and lined up through the main highway of the city.
They said the BJP government has failed to protect the interests of Hindus.
Residents of Huchchagani Village said they celebrated the festival on September 1 at the temple.
On September 8, officials destroyed them without giving any notice or information, they said.
During protests, a journalist who worked for a Urdu newspaper was taken by angry protesters.
The police acted quickly and moved it quickly to a safe place.
MySuru District Journalist Association has condemned the incident and asked the police to extend security to media people.
