Jhansi: Chairman of the Minister of Yogi Adyityath conducted a flood-affected area air survey in the Hamirpur district and the schedule on Tuesday after that he interacted with more than two dozen people who hit flooding and distributed relief material between them.
He assured the flood victims that the government was with them all the time.
Yogi reached here soon after attending the inauguration of Ujjwala 2.0 in Mahoba.
In Hamirpur, he reviewed the areas affected by the flood of the Yamuna River and Betwta, after that he immediately went to the collectorate where he had a meeting with officials and instructed them to send a medical team in a water-flooded area to stop the epidemic outbreak.
When talking to reporters, he expressed satisfaction with assistance work carried out by administration and public representatives, and said that adequate assistance provided.
After a survey in Jalaun, Yogi met with victims of floods and administrative officers at Chravan Kumar Degree College in Jagamanpur from Madhogarh Tehsil.
After distributing material assistance, Yogi held a detailed review meeting with officials and directed them to intensify flood assistance efforts.
He also appealed to people to avoid going near the river and asked the children not to take selfies in such places might turn fatal.
Yogi said that the flood was caused by the release of water in Chambal from the city and Haryana Dam, but it was expected that water would recede in the next two to three days.
He expressed his condolences to the family of four people who lost their lives in flooding and convinced all possible help.
He also said that the community kitchen had been formed to supply food cooked to families whose homes were submerged in flood water.
