Chandrapur: Chandrapur Municipal Corporation (CMC) has come to save residents who face the threat of evictions from their homes because of the Lalpeth Mining Extension Project OPENDAST from West West Ltd, the corporation on Tuesday issued a resolution from the wcl removal of the removal of residence of Lalpeth locality.
Fierce discussion was held during the CMC general body meeting held offline for the first time in the past half a year.
Corporator Shyam Kankam took the problem of residents who were disturbed by the WCL to empty their homes in three residences in Lalpeth as Indian coal limited children limited to extend large overburden mines.
Kankam believes that people live near the Lalpeth mine for more than 70 years.
Many have built a Pucca house and settled here for three generations.
