CMRL looks for consultants to increase non-ticket income

Chennai: After several efforts to increase income through retail space rentals in the METRO station failed to take off, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) will assign external consultants to develop a business plan that can generate non-ticket income.
Metro Rail recently floated tenders for the selection of consultants.
According to officials, consultants will help CMRL in increasing income from commercial development and tap the potential for CMRL assets that are not used for non-tariff income.
“Among the consultant work is to formulate a non-tariff box income business plan, improve the existing plan and suggest optimal disposal strategies for retail space licensing at the Metro station.
Consultants must also conduct a feasibility study and provide transaction advisory services for existing and new land parcel Until the transaction settlement stage until the signing of revenue.
In Metro stations and trains, consultants may also have to identify additional sources to increase income, prepare appropriate policy documentation and procedures, plan and implement marketing / promotion strategies for the maximum range of CMRL commercial proposals.
