CNG Level Pre-Covid Sales in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The sale of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Gujarat has risen again and even exceeds the pre-covid level.
Soaring gasoline and diesel prices, demanding growth after the sidewalk easing imposed because of the second wave of Covid-19 and the addition of new stations by the city gas distribution company (CGD) has pushed CNG sales.
Limited Gujarat Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL) currently records CNG sales of 13 lakh kilograms (kg) per day throughout the country, which is 8% higher than the average daily sales of 12 lakh kg in March 2020.
Sales even have dropped To 8 lakh kg a day in May last year amid the national lock, according to GGL, which accounted for almost 57% of the station around 789 CNG in Gujarat.
CNG sales volume total gas (ATGL) Adani throughout its network in India rose 7% at 75 million standard metric cubic meters per day (MMSCMD) in the quarter ended March 31, 2021.
The private sector company has registered sales of CNG 71mmscmd in the last fiscal quarter Accordingly, ATGL said in the presentation of investors recently.
“CNG requests increased significantly over the past six months, mainly because of gasoline prices rose.
People often get new or old cars they are equipped with CNG cylinders.
There are big differences in CNG prices and gasoline and mileage are also better and therefore, people It prefers more CNG, in an effort to save costs, “said Dhimant Ghelani, Secretary General, the Federation of Association of Dealer Petroleum Gujarat (FGPDA).
According to industrial estimates, CNG offers 60-65% savings compared to gasoline.
While gasoline prices have increased and hovered around Rs 97.35 per liter, the price of CNG in Gujarat remains stable in the range of Rs 52 to Rs 55 per kg in the last nine months.
Atgl on Thursday collected CNG prices at Ahmedabad by 68 Paise to Rs 55.30 per kg.
However, savings in CNG are still very high compared to gasoline.
Rush to choose CNG can be seen from the fact that around 30 vehicles are used to convert to CNG every day in Ahmedabad in pre-covid.
When the price of gasoline soars, this number doubles two to 60 before the second wave of pandemic, said the player in the CNG retrofitting market.
Apart from this, the use of CNG has soared with other people about their daily tasks after a reduction in cases and easing of territorial restrictions.
Given the PusH state government and the central government to clean fuel, overall CNG consumption has risen with the CGD company that establishes more and more CNG stations throughout the country.
In fiscal 2021, GGL, ATGL, Sabarmati gas and gas torrent added new CNG stations throughout India.
