Noida: Changes recently on Co-Win, where the portal has combined all sessions in vaccination centers, has caused confusion between vaccine recipients in the past two days.
While previously there were various sessions available for three different age groups – 18-44, 45-59 and 60-Plus – Portal now showed one category for all recipients aged over 18 years.
It leads to confusion, especially among those who are within 45+ or 60+ categories that order their first doses but cannot find their group on the portal now.
Officials said that this was also a reason for fewer government centers displayed on the portal now.
“While there are various centers under the previous district hospital, there is only one show center now.
Everyone can order slots in category 18+.
This is why the total number of centers in the portal seems to be lacking.
However, the whole process and location remain the same,” Dr.
Neeraj Tyagi said, district immunization officer.
He added that while there seemed to be fewer government centers and fewer doses were available, not the problem.
“People need to order their slots and wait for their turn.
We still have enough vaccines to vaccinate everyone,” Tyagi said.
Officials said that the change was made for all government centers except two urban primary health care centers in Surajpur and Raipur.
However, with portal changes, many people did not order their slots on Thursday and Friday and the crowd was relatively lacking in the center.
At least two private hospitals reported seeing a smaller crowd and many who complained at the Walk-in counter that they could not order an online slot.
One recipient, Rajeev Nath, a sector 50 resident, said: “We registered online and get our first dose before.
However, we were infected with Covid in April and could not get the second dose.
When we try to find our online category, we don’t can find it for the nearest center.
Because the norm keeps changing, we think that online bookings will be closed for our age group.
Only when we arrived in the middle, we realized that the portal was updated and we can order online.
