Coast Guard does walkathon to celebrate independence day

Mangaluru: Coastal District Headquarters (Karnataka) conducted Walkathon to commemorate Indian independence in India with the theme “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” on Wednesday.
Imamuddin Ahmad, Commissioner of CGST and Customs, emphasized the importance of walkathon for a healthy lifestyle.
The 75K target step for “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” The 75-year independence festival must be one such event where the spirit of freedom, tribute to martyrs and their promises to create India can be experienced.
This event was marked at 7 in the morning.
Indian coast guards and Indian customs maintain synergies with respect to other maritime operations and activities.
The importance of this event is to emphasize the Honorious History of India and show off India’s development since independence and encourage people to stay healthy and suitable with entering physical and sports activities in their daily lives.
As many as 100 personnel participating in Walkathon were held near Custom Road, New Mangalore covers 7.5 km.
Excavated S B Venkatesh, Commander, Coast Guard, Karnataka said they had planned a drive of special community interactions for fishermen in the coming days and will host the national flag on various islands and lighthouses.
